"LIFE CAN ONLY BE UNDERSTOOD BACKWARDS -
BUT IT MUST BE LIVED FORWARDS."
- Søren Kierkegaard
WELCOME...
... and thank you for visiting my website!
Through this website I will provide a window into my past, present and my future. Not because I think my life is incredibly interesting or special. I have created this website first an foremost for the purpose of self-reflection.
I have never been good at keeping things close to my chest, so I have decided to share some of my reflections with you: a little bit creative, somewhat varied and - ideally - worth your while. You will find new blog entries every week. These will include insights on my life journey, my career, travelogues and other things I deem worth sharing.
I will try to enhance my posts with ideas from helpful and inspiring literary sources. These will include psychological insights, habit building, life and work principles, productivity, time and self-management hacks, and other interesting topics.
Ideally you will find this website engaging and take some insights with you and into your professional or private life. Please also have a look through the rest of my portfolio as the website will grow constantly each week and get in touch with me if you want to learn more about me or the content I am sharing...
ABOUT ME
I first launched marcuslycke.com in 2010. Back then - as a student in industrial engineering - I didn't really know what to write about. So it took me almost 10 years to write this text.
Part of the reason for both, not maintaining my website for so long and re-creating it 10 years later, is the fact that I have been working as a business consultant for the past decade. Nowadays, I consider myself an experienced project manager with a proven track record in management consulting and executive coaching, especially in the automotive and aviation industry. I love coaching as much as a I love learning and my field of expertise reaches from Lean Manufacturing, Corporate Governance and HR to Applied Psychology with a strong focus on mental, physical and social health.
I've started my own coaching and consulting firm in 2021 and I'm always happy to share and advance knowledge at the interface between Business & Psychology. I also enjoy being a part-time musician, blogger and author, an enthusiastic runner and a full-time diplomatic spouse to my amazing wife.
I hope you will find some inspiration in my posts and the content of this website and I'd be more than happy to get in touch with you, whatever your story might be!
